Ribbon & Wicker had the pleasure of working with The UK’s leading independent transformation partner for public services in the run up to Christmas 2020.
We were approached by the client after they were let down by another supplier at the last minute. The client had planned for hampers to be sent to internal colleagues in lieu of their Christmas party, which had been cancelled due to Coronavirus restrictions. This meant that 274 hampers needed to be ideated, sourced, constructed and shipped in less than 3 weeks, with Ribbon & Wicker working with the client to develop 5 types of hamper to encapsulate different dietary requirements:
Standard
Vegetarian
Vegan
Halal
Gluten-Free
Each hamper contained approximately 10 artisanal and high quality items. The most fragile, such as jars and bottles, were individually wrapped in light weight red, green or golden paper and completed with a red, green or golden satin ribbon. The wicker baskets were then topped with a red lightweight paper and finished off with a rich green satin ribbon.
The utilisation of traditional Christmas colours gave the hampers a festive and inviting appearance.

Wrapped 1,168 items in lightweight paper
Utilised around 100kg of crinkled shredded paper
Boxed 274 wicker baskets
Stuck 548 fragile labels
Finished 20 rolls of eco-friendly paper tape
Most of the component stock was received towards the end of w/c 7th December, leaving only a week for construction, and with orders due to be shipped to 274 individual addresses and arriving no later than 21st December, the logistical feat was as massive as the creative one! Undeterred, the Ribbon & Wicker team ploughed through this mammoth task and we are pleased to confirm that the order was delivered seamlessly, on time and to a high standard, resulting in outstanding feedback from our clients:
